Rolling over for what feels like the thousandth time I try to fall asleep, failing miserably.

How can I sleep after what just happened? And by just I mean a few hours ago but it feels like seconds. It’s still fresh in my mind, his lips on mine, what I’ve always wanted.

In a weird roundabout way my plan for the party worked. I got Soren to react, although he reacted in a very possessive jealous way, probably injuring those boys which could come back on him and my dad.

Which would directly affect me.

But I don’t want to think about that right now. All I care about is his kiss and his words of commitment.

How his lips pressed to mine made my heart rifle in my chest, and it’s still beating out of control hours later.

But I could tell he was holding back, trying to be gentle and sweet with me. That’s not what I need. I want the Navy SEAL that I know he is. That’s what I’m signing up for when I agree to his forever.

Maybe it’s just the guilt he was feeling due to his relationship with my dad. Heck, it could be a lot of things, but I know there’s a beast lurking inside of him that wants to come out. And that’s what I want to see, feel and experience.

What we have together isn’t wrong. It’s right. Right on so many levels.

But Soren is right too. My parents wouldn’t be ready for it, not yet. Which means this game of cat and mouse needs to continue.

Soren played it off so well, scarily even. Is he a good liar? An experienced one?

Is what he’s telling me just a means to an end, another mission of his but this time the objective is to get in my pants?

I don’t want to think about that, but I have to. It sounds ludicrous but I’ve learned, from him, that you always have to consider all possibilities and be on your toes.

Well, I’m on cloud nine right now, that’s for sure. My feet aren’t even on the ground. And this feeling is where I want things to stay, regardless of the life mom and dad have planned for me.

I hear a sound and look toward the door, the handle turning slowly and I jump up onto my elbows. Apparently, someone else has a plan for me as well.

Soren slides into my room like an animal hunting its prey, his eyes narrowing as he takes in the sight of me in bed in an oversized t-shirt and panties as he locks the door behind him.

My chest rises and falls violently as I struggle to get in enough air.

Instantly my nipples turn into turgid peaks, poking at the years old cotton, the only thing that keeps him from seeing me completely exposed.

His eyes rake over my body, nerves gripping me as my panties dampen with a quickness.

“Tell me you want me here, that you need me here. Or tell me it was all a big mistake and I need to go back to my room and let this all go.
